ABOUT US

XPO Marine Services Limited was established in 2012 with the primary objective of participating in the Nigerian cabotage industry. At the time XPO was established, there was a dearth of indigenous firms in the sector and XPO leveraged on the burgeoning opportunities available as a result of the enactment of the Cabotage and Local Content Acts by the Nigerian Government. XPO also saw the service quality gap existing in the sector as a compelling investment case.

XPO is an integrated provider of offshore marine support services to the oil and gas industry in West Africa offering diverse services, ranging from Vessel Chartering, Survey & Geotechnical Services, Subsea IMR, Well Intervention Services, General EPC Services and Offshore Waste Management Services.

We listen to and evaluate the specific needs of our present and potential clients; and we map out the bespoke solutions to serve clients in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, with minimal disruptions on facility operations and zero impact on environments or assets. XPO Marine Services focuses on providing services to blue chip oil and gas companies, to achieve this, the company builds its competencies and processes around the key issues that influence the client’s vendor selection decisions.

Competence

XPO Marine Services ensures that its vessels crew are technically and operationally competent. We contract out the vessel management services to professional vessel managers (OSM), while we are gradually recruiting and retraining experienced Nigerian crew members for our operations.
Adherence to Local Content Act

The passage of the Local Content Act and Cabotage Act has made it mandatory for oil and gas firms to patronize indigenous firms. XPO Marine Services has positioned itself as a 100% Nigerian firm with the oil and gas companies, the industry regulatory bodies and the relevant workers unions, and make it easy forthe oil and gas companies to transact business with it.

The oil and gas majors operating in West Africa are predominantly listed amongst the European and North American companies and are held to very stringentlevels of ethical compliance. XPO Marine Services operates ethically and transparently. XPO’s asset acquisition strategy has been to ensure that its assets are made up predominantly of dual purpose and multi-use capabilities, to reduce asset underutilization to the barest minimum. XPO Marine Services also ensures that its assets meet the minimum standards required by the maritime, oil and gas regulatory authorities.
Operation

XPO has continued to institute best in class operational process management tools and techniques to enhance process efficiency and reduce wastage in the system. The business implements the lean six sigma methodology throughout its operations to improve turnaround time and reduce operational cost.

XPO Marine Services h a s continued to institute strong financial controls and corporate governance. Its board of directors play a vital role in providing strategic direction and overseeing management performance, the board has five members; three members are independent directors with strong Oil and Gas industry experience. The chairs and members of the board's Audit Committee, Finance Committee and Compensation Committee are independent directors.
